Regina Biathlon Club Open House

Hello,

The Regina Biathlon Club is excited to give interested participants, both young and young-at-heart, an opportunity to participate in a hands-on open house.   Here are the details you need to know:

·        Date:  Saturday, March 24

·        Time:  10:00 am to 12:00 pm

·        Location:  Regina Wildlife Federation

·        Who:  Any participant aged 6 and up are welcome to participate.  We request that children that are 6 or 7 be closely supervised by a caregiver while at the open house.  Children 6 to 10 will use air rifles and those 11 and older will use .22 caliber rifles.

·        Cost:  $11 (required for insurance purposes)

·        Space is limited and registrations will be honoured on a first-come, first-serve basis

 Our open house will cover:

• Rifle and range safety with our coaches

• Skate skiing technique with our athlete instructors

• Rifle operation with our coaches

 What you need to bring:

• Ski equipment (skate ski preferred but not essential for this event)

• Clothing appropriate for the weather. Gloves are strongly encouraged for the shooting parts of the open house.

 In order for us to offer you the best experience, we need participants to register by Wednesday, March 21.  Registration is a two-step process:

1. Go to https://goo.gl/forms/GcY3ewJtirxJlVuJ2 and complete the form. This information will be provided to our organizers. There is minimal information requested on this form.

2. We will confirm with you that there is space available. Once you receive this confirmation, go to https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=15136 and complete the form. This registration is required by Biathlon Canada for insurance purposes and we will not receive any of the information that you provide on this form. On this form you will be asked what membership you require - select “Recreational”, which indicates the fee is $10. There will be an additional processing fee of $1 once you complete the form and check out. You will need to complete one form for each participant from your family. If you have difficulties you can either contact Sheri or Chris at chrisselinger@accesscomm.ca or we can complete the form together at the open house (please arrive a few minutes early if you are in this situation).
